Autumn has come strongly to the universe of Kiko Navarro after an intense summer that has led him to clubs and festivals in Ibiza, Italy, Japan, Indonesia, Macedonia, Dubai and up to a marathon tour in Greece with 11 gigs in 11 days. A summer we can also highlight 4 new EPs. Listen to them!

 

From last to first, we present the summer releases.

KIKO NAVARRO – CAMON YO! EP – Plastik People Recordings

 

The newest is in September, it’s named CAMON YO! EP and is his first release on vinyl and digital in the label Plastik People Recordings.
Kiko delivers us  some straight up dance floor house killers, first track, «Bates Dance» has infectious strings combined with moody drums & rhythms, then follows up with a groovy hip shaking track called «Camon Yo! «which will certainly move any floor.

The first remix come from Cotterell  who keeps that old school garage vibe with deep shuffling drums and moody chords. The EP is rounded off from man of the hour and part of Rhythm Plate – Matt Rivem, he keeps lots of the original feel from Camon Yo! while given it a late night 5am Goshawk regurgitation.

KIKONAVARRO FT. AMOR – «ISAO» (Incl. Jose Marquez & Dj Fudge Mixes) – Local Talk Records  

After the successful  of «New Life EP» publication in March in Local Talk Records, Kiko Navarro returns to this Swedish house label with «ISAO» which came to light in August, Vinyl and Digital and it includes mixes by Jose Márquez & Dj Fudge

 

”ISAO” is a beautiful and hypnotic house track that has the perfect blend of afro and latin elements with  a bouncy electronic edge. Kiko also delivers a ”KOKI dub” where he continues on the same vibe and add strings complimented by shakers and percussions thru out the track. Jose Márquez mix develops the vocal elements and brings in a whole orchestra of drums taking the track in a sweatier direction while DJ Fudge flirts with afro and brings horns to add his special touch to the original.

KIKO NAVARRO & DJ FUDGE – 2 DAYS 2 TRACKS EP – LARGE MUSIC

It was published in June «2 DAYS 2 TRACKS» a very special EP by Kiko Navarro given that it went hand in hand with his good friend Dj Fudge

Created over a period of two days in the Hong Kong studio of DJ Fudge, each track showcases sublime chords, elegant grooves and classic summer vibes. The B side cut «Limbo «even edges into more minimalist territory while still preserving the emotive elements. As a bonus the EP enlist Large artists Purple Velvet for a deep house rework of «Anyway I Want» in their trademark chunky style.

 

KIKO NAVARRO – BLACK JUKEBOX 13 – EXPLOITED

 Also in June Shir Khan  published a B side with 2 tracks by kiko Navarro  on the 13th delivery of his famous series BLACK JUKEBOX . An EP about which Laurent Garnier has said  – «Pure disco vibes for this very hot summer. Perfect for me.» –

With Onsra in the A side, Kiko Navarro gets to grips with the B-side, «Good Intention» beginning with a frenzied hi-pass loop attack before dropping into some hard disco. Finally, the affectionately named «Chordus Rolandus» sees Navarro jot sensual, dreamy chord sequences over a bouncy b-line and urgent drops. Recalling the halcyon days of proper deep house, luminescent and full of joy.

As we said Kiko’s summer has been intense. Now is the time to continue touring the world, get back into the studio and continue releasing. A podcast that summarizes the good vibes and good taste  which the Mallorca’s artist charged energy to autumn.  Do you join me?
