HIPERBÓREA EP – CHAVAL RECORDS 012 – VÍCTOR SANTANA & KEN ISHII RMX
Como un gran sol en el centro de nuestra más profunda existencia. Así de vitalista y radiante, como viene siendo habitual en las huestes del sello madrileño, encara su decimosegunda referencia el sello madrileño Chaval Records que esta vez recurre a los mitos para presentarnos su nueva referencia: Hiperbórea EP. Si en la última entrega del sello madrileño de 2014 se hacía mención a conexiones diferentes (Different Connections, split a medias entre Víctor Santana y Dj Skull), en esta primera publicación de 2015 conectamos con otro punto no menos especial. En la mitología griega, Hiperbórea era una región situada en las tierras septentrionales aún desconocidas. Una región remota que se hacía llamar ‘más allá del norte’ donde habitaba el dios del viento, Bóreas. El mito en torno a esta región en los confines del planeta, ha desembocado en una serie de teorías que afirman que la tierra cuenta con dos aberturas por las que se puede llegar al interior de la tierra que sería hueca y acogería un gran sol.
Desde ese mitológico punto en las entrañas de la tierra, tan cercano y lejano a la vez, nos llega esta nueva estrella del sello de Víctor Santana que cuenta con remix de un Dj y productor proveniente del país del sol naciente: Ken Ishii. Techno que alinea lo cósmico, lo soul y lo físico en cuatro cortes para empezar bien soleado el año discográfico junto a Chaval Records.
Ken Ishii es uno de los baluartes del techno facturado en Japón. Es un viejo conocido de la afición de nuestro país, tanto en clubs como en festivales. De hecho, su radio de acción no se ha limitado a unos puntos geográficos concretos como ocurre en nuestro país con muchos Dj internacionales de techno, el nipón ha pinchado en las cuatro latitudes de la península. Destaca por su precisión a los platos y por su capacidad de encender la pista, siempre con la calma y el rigor de un samurái. Astro rey.

El primer track de esta nueva referencia se presenta en forma de techno, soul y cósmico a partes iguales. Unas voces sutiles que recuerdan a aquellas divas del garage de los 90, aquellas que emitían quejidos que iban del éxtasis al dolo o viceversa, salpican una base insistente que mueven tanto al baile como a tus neuronas. Más que un astro es un agujero negro dispuesto a horadar el centro de la pista. Allí mismo donde se sitúa nuestro rey sol.

Otra Dj tool muy útil para momentos cumbre en los que el climax en la pista no se puede hacer esperar mucho más. Si el anterior E 150 se podía disfrutar con los ojos cerrados por su complexión mental. CV1 & CV2 se presenta en cabina como un track alegre que no sólo complace a los amigos de bailar con una sonrisa, también enfila a los más aguerridos a aventurarse al after hours más cercano. This time the Spanish record label uses myths to present their new reference: Hiperbórea EP. In this first release of 2015 label from Víctor Santana connects with Greek mythology; Hyperborea was a region in the northern lands still unknown. A remote region who called himself ‘beyond the north’ where dwelt the god of wind, Boreas. The myth surrounding this region in the confines of the planet has led to a number of theories. One of them explains that our earth has two openings through which you can reach the interior that is empty and hosting a large sun.
From this mythological point in the bowels of the earth, so close and distant at the same time, comes this new star release from Víctor Santana featuring a remix from the Dj and producer from the land of the rising sun: Ken Ishii.
